Privacy Policy

We deal with businesses, not consumers. This page explains what information we collect when you enquire, quote, or trade with us, and what we do with it.

Taj Al Naseem Foodstuff Trading supplies rice, pulses, spices, cooking oils, sugar, dried fruits, seeds, frozen items and gum arabic in commercial volumes. This policy covers the information we handle when you use this website or correspond with our trade desk.

This website is aimed at wholesale buyers, distributors, hotels, restaurants, catering companies and food manufacturers. The information we ask for is business contact information, not personal consumer data.

1. Who we are

Taj Al Naseem Foodstuff Trading LLC (“Taj Al Naseem”, “we”, “us”) is a foodstuff trading and bulk supply company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a quote request, contact form or email enquiry, we collect:

  • Your full name and job role
  • Company name, trade licence details and country of operation
  • Business email address and phone or WhatsApp number
  • Product categories, grades, packing formats and quantities you are interested in
  • Delivery port, Incoterms, target pricing and any specifications you send us
  • Documentation exchanged during an order, such as purchase orders, shipping and customs paperwork and payment references

Information we collect automatically

  • IP address, approximate location, browser and device type
  • Pages viewed, product categories opened, time on site and referring source
  • Cookie identifiers, as described in section 7

Information from other sources

We may receive information about your company from trade directories, credit or compliance checking services, shipping lines, freight forwarders and inspection agencies where this is needed to process or verify an order.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, process and fulfil orders, manage payments, meet legal and compliance requirements, improve our website, and provide requested trade updates. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Why we are allowed to use it

Where UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data applies, or where the EU or UK GDPR applies to a buyer in those regions, we rely on:

  • Contract — to quote, supply and invoice against an order.
  • Legitimate interests — to run and secure our trading business, verify counterparties and keep buyers informed about supply.
  • Legal obligation — to meet customs, tax, food safety and record-keeping requirements.
  • Consent — for optional analytics cookies and for trade updates where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with parties who need it to move your order or run our systems:

  • Producers, mills, processors and packing houses fulfilling your specification
  • Freight forwarders, shipping lines, cold chain operators and customs brokers
  • Third-party inspection, fumigation and certification bodies
  • Banks and payment providers handling settlement or letters of credit
  • IT, hosting, email and analytics providers supporting this website
  • Auditors, insurers and legal advisers, and government authorities where we are required to disclose

If our business is sold or restructured, information may transfer to the acquiring party under the same protections.

6. International transfers

Because we source and ship across multiple regions, your information may be processed outside the UAE — for example by an origin supplier, a destination customs broker or a hosting provider. Where information leaves the UAE, or leaves the EEA or UK, we put appropriate safeguards in place such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, and we share only what the counterparty needs.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for three things:

  • Essential — keeping the site secure, remembering items added to an enquiry and processing form submissions. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — aggregated statistics on how buyers navigate the category pages, so we can improve them.
  • Functional — remembering preferences such as your selected category or language.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop quote forms from working.

8. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 24 months, so we can follow up on seasonal requirements.
  • Order, shipping and accounting records: at least 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by UAE commercial and tax law.
  • Website analytics: up to 26 months in aggregated form.
  • Trade update lists: until you unsubscribe.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our trade and accounting systems, and restrict order documentation to staff involved in that shipment. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please send commercially sensitive documents through the channel we agree with you rather than public forms.

If a breach affects your information and creates a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

10. Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing
  • Transfer your information to another provider in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave

Email us using the details below, and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity and your authority to act for the company named in the request.

Buyers in the EU or UK also have the right to complain to their national data protection authority.

11. Third-party links

Our pages may link to shipping lines, certification bodies or supplier sites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information — check their own policies before submitting anything.

12. Age of users

This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processes, suppliers or legal obligations change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Significant changes affecting active buyers will be notified by email.
